One of our commercial projects is a landscape design in New Milton, Hampshire, where we developed full landscape, planting, and detailing proposals for 16 affordable homes.
Our landscape design in Hampshire provides both private and public spaces. The communal spaces create seating areas and new green pedestrian routes linking to the neighbouring open green space for the residents and wider community.
A small play space is framed with feature planting to create a soft environment and decorative barrier from the vehicular areas which is in integral part for this landscape design. New planting, which is mainly native reflects the local setting with new large trees blending the site with the existing backdrop of established trees which surrounds this exciting development.
The introduction of native planting throughout this scheme, as mentioned above will help blend this new development with surrounding land. It will also help provide foraging and homes for localised wildlife and of course will increase the biodiversity of the new development. Combining this with a small percentage of continental perennials will help increase the wildlife population further by inviting pollinating bugs and insects into the planting areas.
Planting is important to a development such as this as it will help increase the new residents well being and mental health.
